Well I've nearly fathomed out this Blog software, enough any way to start adding a few posts..... Just worked out that its 218 Days till May 1st. Sounds a lot but the more I plan the more there is to plan and prepare, so I suspect like most things in life there will be a mad rush near the start date to get everything ship shape.
Follow up:
To date most planning has been in my head, though I have started a word document with the beginings of a formal plan.
I have managed to save my pennies and have enough to buy a new sea going kayak with associated equipment, paddle, floatation safety jacket. All mid range stuff, yikes some of the prices seem a bit steep for a bit of molded plastic but what I have my eye on I think will do the job ok.
Will need to save more and possibly seek financial support form sponsors and enthusiasts. Well I can hope cant I :)
My first piece of equipment has arrived - a used hand-held GPS. New toy, so Im testing it as I write ... not the latest, but it will give me accurate positional information - crucial when working out the stages to be attempted each day ..... dont want to be caught out at sea if the weather turns and no where to land, but shear cliffs. There are many!!!
Anyway thats the main event for this Log entry, my GPS - item ticked, recieved and tested - next :)
