Two months have passed since my last blog entry ... very sloppy, very poor indeed! I keep looking at the blog and wanting to write , but I seem paralysed, unable to focus on one thing, get those first lines down.

My head is spinning, theres so much going on, so much turmoil that talking about any one subject seems trivial in the stramash of global events! Stand back and you see a biological living, intelligent form heading inexorably towards cataclysmic self destruction. Like a cancerous growth, devouring all before, until at last there is only itself to eat.

Focus in closer, at national levels and we see this raging war between the old and the new,  believers and non believers, rich and poor, theocracies and democracies, the rights of the group and the freedoms of the individual... every where you look you see raging conflict, polarisation and territorial demarcation.

Lines are being drawn.

Move in closer. In to the you and me level ... OMG ! Greed, Obesity,hedonism ... failing social conscience, cooperate control, police states, erosion of liberties .... fewer smiles, more traffic jams .. lives ticking by keeping the 'banks' fat and happy!

Then finally at myself ... Alone! Tired, but still with dreams and ambitions ... still believing that we can make it. Lost my hair, loosing my teeth ... could be fitter. Oh I want so much to know that it will all be all right before I slip off the plate .... know that my daughters children and theirs and on into the future, that things will be ok.

But what does it require... how can we know that the course we have taken ... will work out??

The answer of course is simple ... we need visionary leadership. We need leadership that is above the dictates of political dogma, above the dictates of fiscal greed and leadership that has the spine to hold true to the ideals around which we will build our dreams for the future.

When we stop electing fucking knobs into power, then maybe ... maybe the future will be a fine place for our descendants to occupy!

Don't elect someone because they want you to, do so because they share YOUR dream! If you don't have a dream a vision for the future ... shame on you!
